When you are driving from one audition in Santa Monica in the middle of the afternoon all of the way to your next audition for the day in Hollywood, the last thing you want to have to think about is your wardrobe. This is why it is always important to plan ahead and make sure you have everything ready for all of your auditions, callbacks, and jobs that you have every single day. Although this is the ideal situation, there are times when you have a last minute audition come up that needs to be gotten to before you have time to get home and find a change of clothes. In case this has ever happened to you, which if you are a super busy actor it probably has, here are some helpful things you should keep in your car in case of an audition emergency.

1.            Jeans and a t-shirt. This goes for both ladies and gents. You want to make sure you have the staples ready for use. Make sure that they look good on you and are presentable yet casual. You never know when you will be heading back from a hyper fashionable audition when you get the last minute call for a super casual one and this is a quick and easy thing to change into.
2.            A sundress. This suggestion is probably just for the females (but who knows, men, you may be auditioning for the next Danish Girl). Keeping a simple, cute dress in the car is a great way to make sure you are always prepared for any audition that comes your way where the description is “young,” “fun,” or “flirty.” A sundress is pretty much the perfect solution to all of those.
3.            A button down. It can be casual or more formal (for men i’d suggest keeping both a casual and a formal one handy) but the button down is useful for any crime show, law show, or anything else where you need to dress “business attire.” This applies to both women and men. And if you have the right jeans handy in your car, they pair nicely together!
4.            An extra pair of shoes. Make them something they you normally don’t wear. If you are typically a sneakers type of person, keep a nice pair of dress shoes or heels on hand, and vice versa. This will really come in handy when you get a last minute audition and you’re dressed how you normally dress. If your current look doesn’t fit the role, a nice pair of shoes can really spice it up.

Having these things handy should help you out in your day to day with all of the auditions you have and the last minute costume changes you need to make! Make sure you also carry some deodorant and whatever normal makeup you use because you never know when those things could come in handy!
