Acting can be complicated when it comes to body type, look, and how people are handled according to these things. One thing that you can do to make yourself as appealing and interesting to a casting director as possible is to feel comfortable in your own skin. When you walk into the audition room you want to be as confident and comfortable as possible. This is one thing that has to potential to set you apart from all of the other actors that are auditioning as well.

You want to be on camera and seen by as many industry professionals as possible, as this will help you expand in your career. The only way you are going to feel good about getting in front of the camera at every possible opportunity is with a lot of self-confidence, and by feeling extremely comfortable in your own skin. You need to feel good about yourself, your body, and your appearance in order to feel good on camera. This is no matter what type of character you normally play, your body type, or what others think you should be doing in your career.
     Feeling comfortable is one of the most important things you can do for yourself as an actor. If you walk into an audition room feeling like you don’t know what you’re doing there, or like you don’t belong there, or any other feeling that isn’t 100% “I am awesome and I am going to book this!” Then the casting director will see that and it might affect the way that they see your performance. Make sure you are ready to be cast by making sure you are comfortable in your own skin, it pays off!
