FX has been releasing some excellent television shows recently, with the great shows such as Baskets, Atlanta, and now, Feud, there is so much amazing TV to watch. The story of Joan Crawford and Bette Davis, brought to life by two of the extremely talented actresses of our time (Jessica Lange and Susan Sarandon), is completely compelling and I cannot get enough of it!

The show, as you must already know from all of their great marketing, centers around the two stars and why they hated each other so much. The show brings you through them working together on their two films and the trials and tribulations that ensued.

This is not only interesting because these famous actresses were so well known for this particular reason, but it is also fun and a bit of a history lesson on “Old Hollywood.” The show takes place, of course, in the days of contract-actor work for studios. It really dives into the political issues that were going on back in the day; the awful sexism and ageism that were so deeply prominent (and still effects us today, although we have made terrific strides in it). It is honestly a great lesson in the history of Hollywood for any young actors, or any actors who are not well versed on the subject of Hollywood in general.

I would highly suggest this show to people who are interested in high stakes, high drama, and high meaning in the projects they pay attention to! There is so much amazing TV being put out right now, and as actors, writers, directors, etc… it is very important that we watch, learn about, and enjoy as much art as we possibly can!
