This year I had a great Thanksgiving. There was tons of food, tons of desserts, tons of drinking and laughing with friends and family. Most of all there was tons of sitting around and eating. This is just how I like to spend my holidays, but as an actress, it is also important to stay in physically good shape, and a good idea to stay looking the same as your headshots.

So this year to not only help myself but to maybe lend a helping hand other people, I am going to suggest some of my favorite hikes to do in the Los Angeles area!

Inspiration point hiking trail in Altadena Is a very long, tedious, pretty difficult hike. The upside to this hike is that it has a HUGE payoff. When you reach the top of the mountain there’s a railroad as well as mountain ranges that you can yell at and hear echoes, amongst other interesting things like that. This is something that you wouldn’t expect to find near Los Angeles, but voila a slice of unexpected magic.

Malibu Creek State Park is a fun less difficult hike wherein you walk up to a waterfall! Not only that but there are great views of the ocean and very pretty scenery.

Cahuenga peak and the wisdom tree is a fun the more woodsy way to hike up the backside of the hill with the Hollywood sign. Some great unexpected views of Los Angeles also.

And there you have it! Enjoy the rest of your holiday season, winter in LA, and working off those calories. But also enjoy sitting around and eating food… because when you think about it isn’t that what life is really all about?
