Despite what many think, making it the acting profession has very little to do with knowing the right person. Sure, there is that one person “who did no acting at all” and was discovered, but that is not what we are talking about. We are talking about a working actor who stumbles upon “the right person” and their career miraculously skyrockets.

     In the case of a working actor whose career takes off, you can find time, and time again, where they have been working for long periods of time and on all types of jobs. It might seem like they became an “overnight sensation” but in reality, they were already good at what they were doing and it blossomed into something more.

     The moral here is to keep going out and doing auditions, shoots, classes, short-films, cameos, stand-ins, etc. Hone your craft and do, do, do do!
