2017 was a great year and some major things were accomplished for us in the acting community. SAG AGTRA took some big steps in ensuring safety and protection for a wider range of actors and performers in the workplace, some amazing movies were released and television is better and more exciting than ever! Individually, I personally had a great year and hope that you all did as well. I booked several professional industry gigs and also started my first legitimate indie project of my own! It has been an exciting ride.
     With all of that being said, I am looking forward to this year being bigger, better, and altogether more amazing. Are you ready to take your acting career and life to a whole new level in 2018? Are you looking for some bigger excitement and even more fun to be had in your career, well here are some pointers on how to do exactly that!

-Produce your own content! Make things that you think are funny, dramatic, amazing, and put them online. They don’t have to be Oscar worthy (for the lighting, costuming, and crew—your performance should always be on point!) but they do have to be something you enjoy yourself.

-Get your social media game on! Make yourself the best that you possibly can be on social media, including Instagram, facebook, twitter, and YOUR WEBSITE! Make sure people can find you and find out everything they can about you. They want to see your resume, photos, and videos all in one place! Give them what they want!

-Take a new class. Do something out of your comfort zone like trying a new class that you may have been unfamiliar with to start out. Go in there, meet new people, and change up your work environment. If you never shake things up, you’ll never know how different things work for you as an actor.

     Make big goals for yourself and go for them until you make it! This will be your year if you dedicate yourself to it and make your dreams come true one way or another.
