Below is a video from a filmmaker friend of ours who went to New York recently on a business trip and just decided to take some random footage while he was there. What he didn’t even realize when he started was that he was making this video. It just started as something to do in his down-time from meetings, etc.
Get Out There
As an artist, you may never know where your inspiration may pop-up from or what may trigger your next artistic endeavor but at MyActingSite.com we believe that your chances at creativity are diminished by the amount you’re not getting yourself out there. Of course we think you should have in your marketing tools quiver your very own acting website. We wouldn’t have spend the years developing it that we have if we didn’t feel that way. But, we ourselves are artists and know that at least these 2 things are true:
- If you don’t DO anything, nothing will happen (you can refer to our last Post on Procrastination if that rings true for you).
- If you do something and nobody else sees it, you may as well have not done it alt all.
Sure, we all do things for ourselves. We practice scenes by ourselves, we work out by ourselves, lots of things. But if your job as an actor is ultimately to create an effect on another human being then I think it’s fair to say that you need to get yourself out there and show what you can do. And I think you’ll see that the more you get out there, the more you put yourself on the line, the better you’ll be and the easier it will be to create these effects and just be creative in general!
