As an actor you need to show up to your auditions, callback and to the jobs you book with you A-game and your game face on. You need to walk into that room soloing a problem for the casting director, and be the answer to their question of “but who the heck am I going to cast in this.”

The trick to being consistent is that there is no guarantee that you will book the job just because you were the right person for the job based on your performance or anything else. If you audition for a role and the casting director was in love with you, but the counter part to you that they already cast is 3 inches shorter than you, it sucks, but they may decide to go with someone else. This is why you need to be consistent in your work.

Show up to every audition completely prepared, brilliant, and with what you know to be your best work, and do this every single time. The casting directors, producers, and director will take note of your hard work and they will remember you and bring you back, but this will only happen if you give the a reason to do it! Make your life better and easier and show up to every audition being consistently the best you can be. It will pay off!
