Lately, I’ve been getting a lot of auditions in Culver City. Perhaps it is because it is a cheap place to rent a casting room, or because its not quite as far as Santa Monica, or one of the other million different reasons that won’t occur to me, whichever it happens to be I’m not mad about it because Culver City is the new up-and-coming place. From the great industrial-chic buildings to the amazing restaurants and cafes there’s plenty to do and look at on your way to an audition in Culver City. I felt like I needed to touch upon this subject because I had never in my life gotten so many auditions there. I knew the classic drive to Santa Monica at 5pm, or the early morning commute to the middle of Hollywood, but never before had I fully experienced the not so bad drive to Culver City. There are so many new apartment buildings there, and cute restaurants, cafes, and shops. Frankly, it makes me doubt myself as a connoisseur of hip places and things, but I will focus on the positive side, which is that I now know, and I will pretend that I have always known.
