Peter Dinklage studied acting at the University of Bennington in Virginia. After graduating, he moved to NYC and struggled with finding work acting so he ended up looking for another job. After two years of couch and job surfing, he started working at Professional Examination Services as a data enterer. He continued to work there for 6 years.

After 6 years, Dinklage quit his job to pursue acting. What it came down to was a decision and to quote him, he said “…the next acting job I get, no matter what it pays, I will from now on, for better or worse, be a working actor….”

Shortly thereafter, Dinklage was cast in a play called Imperfect Love which then lead to a film called Thirteen Moons, which lead to other roles and more roles. Since then he has been a working actor in every sense of the phrase.

As you can see, Peter Dinklage worked and worked and worked. He was doing his craft, keeping it close to him and in the process of all his work, he created his “stardom”. His willingness to do his work is why he is now a multi-Emmy award-winning actor.

We hope this brief look into another acting icon gives you a fresh look at what you are doing and helps you to keep doing it!
