I am so excited for the Tonys this year. Looking at the nominations, there are so many amazing choices that it is hard to even decide for myself whom I would like to win… with that being said, I am going to try my best to create my idea of what the winning ballad will look like.

Here goes nothing.

Best Play: “The Curious Case of the Dog in the Night-Time”

Best Musical: “An American in Paris”

Best Revival of a Play: “This is Our Youth”

Best Revival of a Musical: “The King and I”

Best Book of a Musical: “An American in Paris”

Best Original Score: “The Last Ship”

Leading Actor in a Play: Alex Sharp

Leading Actress in a Play: Elizabeth Moss

Leading Actor in a Musical: Robert Fairchild

Leading Actress in a Musical: Kristin Chenoweth

Featured Actor in a Play: Alessando Nivola

Featured Actress in a Play: Sarah Stiles

Featured Actor in a Musical: Brandon Uranowitz

Featured Actress in a Musical: Ruthie Ann Miles

And that is pretty much all that I have an opinion on, as I was not in New York to be able to see all of the set design and costuming of these shows. My opinions are basically super biased because I have just taken the plays and musicals that I like a lot as well as my favorite actors. I am not entirely familiar with all of the rest, but I did my best. If you have an opinion, agreement or disagreement with me on this, comment below!
