Staying happy in the car while you are sitting in traffic trying to fight your way through to get to your next audition on time can be a drag. You’re just an actor aiming to do your best, so why is the universe against you! At least, that’s how I can feel sometimes waiting in traffic to get onto the 134 freeway. The best auditions are always the furthest away it seems. Alas, I digress. Here are a few tips on how to make your drives to auditions less dreary and more exciting:

-Recite your audition in as many different accents as you can do.

 

-Play the ABC game (finding words that begin with each consecutive letter of the alphabet outside of your car from the freeway)

 

-Listen to a multitude of songs that really pump you up

-(May I suggest my personal favorite Pandora stations for feeling like you’re ready to dance and have a party) David Guetta, Beyonce, Sleigh Bells, Vampire Weekend, and the Today’s Hits stations all have great, fun music.

 

-Drive how you imagine someone would have driven in the 20’s.

 

-Think of the next million dollar app.
